A destination wedding at the Pocono Lake Preserve a private community started by naturalist Quakers with an oath of simplicity, kindness and a love of nature. The theme for this woodsy lake front wedding had touches of foraged plants, tartan plaid, and both locally grown and imported flowers and textures.

Carrie Kizuka photography was perfect for capturing this special day in the woods. The Groom growing up going to the preserve and is fly fishing guide. To the couple this was the perfect setting to host friends and family for a weekend escape. The ceremony took place in the “Church Grove” on the compound with a winding woodland trail leading to a simple stone alter.

The reception was hosted in the club house a barn style building on the lake. A truly magical place to dance the night away!
