Having an engagement party can be so much fun to celebrate your new status. It’s a also a fantastic way to have the two families meet if they haven’t yet. You get to introduce your bridal party too! Your engagement party can be a fun way to play up a theme you’ve always wanted to try.

  1. Back Yard BBQ Party

Having a BBQ is a great non- formal way, of getting everyone together. You can have it catered with ribs, brisket, & BBQ chicken or keep it simple with hot dogs and burgers. Try out a homemade lemonade and sweet ice tea station perhaps with some alcoholic add-on options for the adults attending. Finding a place to throw your party can also be easy, by hosting it in your back yard or a friends with a pool!

  1. Wine Tasting Party

Local wineries are a perfect place to hold your engagement party. It will have your guests mingling and getting to know with each other, and of course getting to try excellent wine. Most local wineries can accommodate such parties, and will even recommend caterers for you to use, so no worrying about making any food.

  1. Brunch Theme

Brunch is all the rage these days. Millennial’s are all about sleeping in and still getting their breakfast on in the morning (or afternoon)! Having a party at your favorite breakfast hot spot is a sure way to switch things up. You can have a brunch buffet, or have a pancake and waffle bar. Mimosas and bellini’s are great brunch cocktails to wake up your guests and the party!

  1. Mexican Fiesta Party

Who doesn’t love tacos! Mexican food has become more and more popular as of late. You can host one at your house and have it catered, or go to one of your favorite Mexican restaurants for a stress free event. This theme is definitely a crowd pleaser. Margaritas and mojito’s are great cocktails to entice you and your guests into a fun filled night!

  1. Carnival Theme Party

Set up some carnival games, rent a cotton candy machine, and get to celebrating. This is a super fun way to have some fun with all your friends and family. Have some corn dogs and funnel cake and chase it down with some beer and some carnival themed cocktails. This will be an engagement party your guests will never forget!
