In 1914 president Woodrow Wilson made mother’s day an official holiday. Prior to this it was a day of contemplation and prayer in an effort to promote peace after America’s grisly Civil War.  There is much debate about who founded mother’s day is. But in 1914 President Woodrow Wilson made mother’s day an official holiday which we celebrate every second Sunday in May.

Flowers are the most popular gift to give on Mother’s Day and the original flower of mother’s day is the Carnation but you can give your mom any mix of colorful beautiful blooms to show her how much you love and appreciate her.

All women love flowers and May is a wonderful time for blooms. Roses of many colors, orchids, freesia, and sweet peas are available for your mom or any important woman in your life.
