Melissa and Colin’s wedding day at Fitler Club in Philadelphia was the perfect blend of modern elegance and soft spring romance. From the clean architectural lines of the venue to the lush white floral designs layered with airy greens, every detail felt intentional, elevated, and effortlessly chic.

Personal Flowers | Light, Airy Spring Whimsy

We began the day with personal flowers that set the tone for the entire celebration: light, airy, and unmistakably spring.

Melissa carried a Light & Airy Spring Whimsy bouquet, layered and modern in design. Her bouquet featured soft white roses, delicate sweet peas, and lush ranunculus, all arranged with movement and negative space to keep the look fresh and organic. It felt romantic without being traditional—perfectly aligned with the modern aesthetic of the day.

Each bridesmaid carried a unique bouquet featuring a single variety of white bloom, allowing subtle differences in texture and shape while maintaining a cohesive palette. The result was beautifully intentional and visually interesting, especially when seen together.

Colin and the groomsmen wore single white ranunculus boutonnieres, accented with light green foliage. Clean, simple, and timeless—these designs complemented the overall floral story without overpowering it.

Ceremony Florals | Modern Romance in Bloom

For the ceremony, we leaned into lush, modern romance. Tiered floral arrangements were designed on clear glass pillars, creating the illusion that the florals were floating effortlessly in the space. Positioned on either side of the fabric-draped altar, the arrangements framed Melissa and Colin beautifully as they exchanged vows.

The all-white florals paired with soft greenery added dimension while allowing the architectural elegance of Fitler Club to shine through. The overall effect was refined, romantic, and incredibly photogenic—one of our favorite ceremony setups for a Philadelphia wedding venue.

Cocktail Hour & Reception | Whimsical Layers + Candlelit Glow

Cocktail hour brought a playful shift in texture and movement. We created whimsical arrangements of flowy white spring florals to add a modern flair throughout the bar area and seating chart. These designs featured roses, green and white hydrangea, open tea roses, and spring blooms accented with dripping amaranthus. For an unexpected, contemporary twist, we tucked in limes and grapes, adding both color and sculptural interest.

At the reception, we repurposed the ceremony florals for the sweetheart table, styling them along the tabletop and cascading at each end. This created a creative, modern frame around the couple and added an elevated focal point for photos of Melissa and Colin throughout the evening.

Guest tables featured a mix of layered, whimsical floral designs in varying sizes, incorporating open white tea roses, Queen Anne’s lace, tulips, and seasonal spring textures. Pillar candles in multiple heights were placed on each table, bathing the room in a soft, romantic glow.

To finish the space, we added clusters of bud vases filled with white spring blooms, again accented with subtle touches of limes and grapes. These were placed throughout the room to soften edges and corners and ensure the floral story flowed seamlessly from start to finish.

Designing Melissa and Colin’s wedding at Fitler Club was one of those days that just sticks with you. The mix of modern lines, soft spring florals, and thoughtful details felt so effortless and true to them. These are the kinds of weddings that remind us why we love being wedding florists—creating something beautiful, seasonal, and completely personal. If you’re dreaming up a Philadelphia wedding and want florals that feel elevated but still natural and relaxed, we’d love to be part of your day.
