Part Two of our Language of Flowers series, featuring the meaning of mums, anemone, hyacinth, and lisianthus.
We’re back with more flowers and their meanings!
In the Victorian Era, complex messages could be sent with bouquets – the kinds of flowers, their colors, and even the way it was offered or held conveyed a world of information!
These days flower language isn’t quite as complex, but certain blooms still hold special meanings. If you’re looking to add some extra sentiment to your bouquet, we’re starting a handy ‘dictionary’ of flowers for you!
With their wide range of sizes and colors, mums are a popular flower for all occasions. In a bouquet, they stand for joy, friendship, and long life.
Anemones are beautiful and striking flowers. They symbolize anticipation, passion, good luck, and sincerity – all perfect for a wedding!
Hyacinth have striking columns of brightly colored flowers that look beautiful in garden bouquets! Hyacinths in a bouquet mean sincerity and a fresh start.
Another flower that comes in a rainbow of colors, lisianthus stands for admiration, positivity, and respect. They make a beautiful addition to any bouquet!
